The elementary school is wonderful! Love the teachers, love the staff, love everyone there HOWEVER THERE ARE CATCHES TO EVERYTHING! Their SCHOOL POLICY AND SCHOOL HANDBOOK will get THROWN AROUND and at individuals LIKE it's THE BIBLE. As soon as you step foot inside the upper schools (middle school and high school) WATCH OUT! That's where things get out of control and it get worse! They like their image to rest on their sports! They expect students to "lay down in the fetal position and let the attacker beat on them"! Their words, not mine! They expect kids to "NOT FIGHT BACK when being attacked and if the can't shield themselves or push the attacker away from them and then run for help when being attacked then they must lay down in the fetal position and let the attacker do what they are doing"...!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What kind of nonsense is this teaching our children?! That they should take a beating! That they should become victims all their lives! That's what this is teaching our children! This kind of policy is ridiculous and it's exactly the reason why so many children are resorting to self- harm, are depressed, are scared, are seeking counseling, are suffering from PTSD at young ages and even worse so many are taking their lives even! Schools like this need to change their policies and know that our children are not going to be punching and/or kicking bags! That our children need to be able to stand up for themselves and say enough is enough! I WILL NOT BE A VICTIM!
