I would never recommend this place to anyone. Did not care for the vet I saw. I am a very experienced pet owner. I went here because someone I know works there and told me about the free initial visit. I knew there were some costs and I was willing to pay. Many expenses were obviously necessary. However, they overcharged for everything including vaccinations. The visit turned out to be $700! Then they got me on their Wellness Plan because obviously I was going to need some time to pay it. Now it's $81 a month and I am stuck going to a clinic I do not like. Don't be fooled by these people. Find a local vet, not a corporate set up. Thumbs down to Banfield!

They just try to run up the price on everything and all they want is your money. They recommend things that take a long time and are expensive and don’t ever work. Do not go here, find another vet.

The vet called my wife to tell us that my dog needed xrays and urinalysis. Even with our month health plan with Banfield the charge would be $530. My wife authorized the tests even though the charges were at least twice that of my own doctor. Then Banfield called and said the tests were inconclusive and we need to take our dog for a ultrasound with the emergency vet hospital for another $500. When I showed up to pick up our dog at Banfield the final bill was $665. I told them my wife only authorized $530. I refused to pay more. They tried to sell me the higher cost plan to reduce the charges but did not bother to disclose that I would have to pay the higher fees for 12 months minimum even if my dog died tomorrow. After reading the confusing one sided small print I paid the $530 and do not upgrade our plan. The women at the counter said they would send the $135 difference to collections. If you want low quality vet care, lousy service, for a high price Banfield is for you. I will never go back and have canceled our pet healthcare plans. Corporate vet care at its best. I stick with a small local vet.
