I love ASU but unfortunately I now have a bitter taste because of a cafe on campus that does not represent the school well. I worked for Charlies cafe. The owner has two cafes and a gelato store on campus. Not only does she still owe funds to my hardworking coworkers that she(Danni) has owed for months but she also takes advantage of these poor souls that come from out of country by paying them close to nothing. Shes always looking for a corner to cut by not having proper paperwork on her employees. She lied about the wage I was originally supposed to receive. One of her payroll checks to me bounced and my account was closed and flagged for fraud because of it. Now here we are today and my previous coworkers and I have to file for and extension because Danni has not responded in regards to our W-2s. I was just going to let bygones be bygones but something needs to be done. I originally thought she was an amazing and sweet person at first impression and I was so happy to be able Job on the ASU campus. If ASU supports business like this then I must take my business elsewhere and call BBB as well as the IRS. Thank you and students at ASU beware of the called Charlies if you are looking for a campus job.
