My client needed a medical supply item that is hard to find. It was the weekend and after hours. I called Southland Medical Supply, and not only did they have it, but the owner sent someone to open the store and sell it to me. I was so impressed by this. Horrible prices. Uncompassionate employees. $80 so I can breathe?! CVS has the supplies I needed for an 1/8 of the price . She didn't even greet me when I walked in. The first thing she says without me saying anything was "we don't take insurance" DO NOT GO HERE.

Hobbled into this store yesterday on crutches and in a lot of pain. There were 3 people working in the store and I was the only customer. A young gentleman was very friendly and welcoming and pointed me in the direction of what I asked for. The other 2 employees started asking questions and pointing me to different products. When they asked what my doctor prescribed and I mentioned I hadn't been to a doctor, they looked the other way. The young man was trying really hard to help. I asked about a knee scooter. He demoed it but never asked me if I wanted to try it. The prices were a bit high, but I was turned off more by the lack of service. I kept trying to leave without being rude and the young gentleman kept talking - meanwhile, no one offered me a seat. I am in pain, they could have sold me just about anything. Oh, my favorite part was I explainined how I needed stability in my ankle and I was told to keep layering on socks until I couldn't move my ankle. My advice, offer people to try things on or test them out. If they are having trouble walking, offer them a seat in the very least. Thankfully I can get what I need online, but I really worry for people who walk in here needing a little compassion and care. That's all it takes.
