Clarion Inn Near Jblm

Decent hotel for just passing through. Room was clean. Another review mentioned "dirty with ants" - not sure if presence of ants means dirty...I did see a few ants in the bathroom around the base of the toilet (but I live in Indiana and it's always a battle to keep ants out of the house). I always inspect the bed for bed bugs at any hotel I stay at before doing anything else. I found no presence of them in my room. The mattress was comfortable, plenty of hot water, towels were in good condition. The location is just off the highway (which is convenient for on and off access) but it was a bit noisy from trucks. If they invested in better windows and updated the HVAC unit to have a constant fan feature while also being able to cycle on the heat that would help to have constant white noise. There is no elevator (just an FYI) and bathroom was tiny. Overall an okay place to sleep for a night.

Every first Tuesday of the month, they have a service for believers who will pray for you after a short teaching about God. Then you can get a prophetic word without charge. It was so encouraging and beautiful. Nearby activities: Popeye's, Pho Ever, Famous Dave's, Subways, Teriyaki, Sizzler's, Dairy Queen, Olive Garden & Applebee's all right across the freeway, within five minutes of the Clarion Hotel.

Very sketchy, people sleeping in cars and a lot of random people coming and going towards the end of the hotel parking area. Had a barking dog in the room next to us started barking at 7am and there was no end. Complained and got told sorry and to just deal with it. Then got charged a 50 fee after. Place is a scam, don't waste your money at this dumpster hotel.

I booked a hotel through priceline and then when I got there they told me they needed my card for a room deposit,  told me the deposit was gonna be 150$ and I'll get it back at check out.  Check out the next morning and the owner tells me you'll receive it in 3-7 business days.  Okay that's not what I was told,  today August 15th I went to check if they'd returned my money and sure enough they hadn't.  So I call the hotel myself and ask them why haven't I received my money back and she tells me no, we charged you for the price of the room, and I tell her but that's absolutely not what they told me at the time of check in they strictly said it was a DEPOSIT!!! why would I double pay for a hotel room you idiots?? Currently on the phone with priceline to get my money back!! They are crooks,  don't give them anything if you've booked on priceline and paid!!! The hotel is filled with a bunch of tweekers and my husband walked outside in the middle of the night to see cops surrounding the place with a guy at gun point and someone rummaging through every Honda there.  I found a purse the next morning and returned it to the office but there wasn't anything of value in it.  Probably would've ended up being stolen by the owner himself!!!Update 8/19 Now the lady at the front desk is telling me that they voided the transaction and it's between me and my bank! I finally just said screw it and filed fraud! DO NOT GET A ROOM HERE AND DO NOT USE PRICELINE!!!!
