I scheduled a telehealth appointment three months ago. They emailed me paperwork which I completed and submitted. I got one call from a nurse before the appointment and she left a voicemail. I called back twice and was on hold for over 20 minutes before I had to go back to work. I was able to get through and left a voicemail and no one called me back. When I was prepared at the time of my appointment I had to call and was informed that they did not receive my paperwork and a nurse called and left three voicemails which was completely untrue. There were no clear directives and a complete lack of concern that people are making appointments due to health concerns. The appointment was canceled and had to reschedule for an appointment in four months.

I am a patient of record and it took 2 months to get an appointment. The appointment was for 4:00. I arrived at 3:40 and was told I would not be able to keep the appointment because I should have been there at 3:30 to do paperwork. From my experience the paperwork would have taken no more than 10 minutes. The next appointment they can get me is 10 weeks out. I was stunned when I was told I could not keep my appointment yet I was courteous, the receptionist was unapologetic and cold. It took the better part of seven or eight minutes just to make my next appointment and I was still out of there well before 4:00. I have since called the office manager and he has not returned my call. I got an appointment with another provider 3 weeks out and I'm not a patient of record. I know the dynamics going on here, it was very obvious from the receptionist's demeanor and body language.

My experience my be typical of what's happened to medicine in general. The profit machine is driving us away from interacting with humans. I met staff once I went in, and they are kind and genuine, but somewhere there is a disconnect with the patient and the office. I tried to call about my appointment for three days. They would not answer the phone or return my call. I was trying to cancel and give them the 48 hour window they require. Further the kit and instructions did not result in a clear stool. So they had to postpone my colonoscopy. Lastly, their portal requires a 4 digit private number to create a chart. That portal has to come from them, but they have to answer the phone. Good luck on your scope and maybe things will go better with you!
