This is a very talented surgeon who took care of me very well and whom I have known since we both went to medical school together. As a surgeon myself trusting another surgeon is always the greatest complement one can give or get. Trust me when I say you will never find a better more hard-working honest and talented surgeon who does plastic and reconstructive surgery.

My 2 years old got deep cut on baby finger. We were really scared. Dr Smith worked on stitches and in about 1.5 months finger is absolutely fine. Not only that Dr Smith was kind enough to waive off 3400 off the final bill. Thank you Dr Smith.

I had an accident with a power miter saw back in April of this year. When I arrived at the emergency room of River View Medical Center I was fast tracked due severity of the cut to see the doctor on call. Unfortunately it was George Smith. He found both the tendon and ligament in my left pinky was severed.Smith reattached both in the matter of 30 minutes. With the hour I was on my way home with an appointment to see Smith two days later. I had two follow up appointments to check the healing. Here is the issue - besides getting a bill from the hospital for $17K with included the Doctor ligament and tendon repair. A couple of weeks later I received an bill directly from Smith for $34,400 for the same repair. We complained to the hospital since we assumed our insurance would take care of it yet ( the insurance company paid the amount of 3900 which was inline with the work done) this guys office kept sending bills expecting payment for the difference. We called his office to inquire and was told this was the only way for them to get the rest of the money from the insurance company. To make things worse my pinky has little to no movement. In my opinion this guy is a horrible doctor and someone who works outside ethical boundaries. Stay away from him. This so called doctor is bad news and I am contemplating legal action and in the process of speaking with a lawyer.
