Aaction Martial Arts

I tried two other Kenpo dojos in town before I found Aaction, and this dojo is hands down the best in town. Phil Retana and the other instructor Kirk, make the techniques practical and fun to learn. Aaction has a direct lineage to Ed Parker through Grandmaster Jim Mitchell, who was trained by Mr Parker himself for 10 years. This dojo is NOT a belt factory and Mr Retana makes sure youre ready for the next level, and that youre truly earning it. If youre looking for a solid dojo, I would recommend Aaction.

Great place to train. Mr. Retana has an awesome teaching etiquette and methodology. The style of Kenpo itself is very "real world" applicable. I've known Mr. Retana for years and I feel very privileged and honored to have him train me. I highly recommend Aaction Martial Arts! It's not just some ol karate class ya go to in your spare time. All of the assistant instructors are more than qualified to teach as well. I have not had a bad experience with any of them. I feel very welcome. It has a true "family" feel to it. I carry it with me in my personal and work life as well. I honestly can't say enough about it!

Ive been going for a while and I think its really cool. Everyone here is nice and the material they teach is practical.
