Not a word of this is true and there's nothing even remotely deceptive about our dealership or this promotion. This customer decided to take advantage of a very popular spring promotion we've run for several years where we offer free mounting on tires when purchased at our dealership. Our advertisements are very clear that it is free mounting and not free balancing or installation. The only cost this customer incurred was $15.00 for balancing because; again, the promotion is for free mounting, not balancing. Labor was not charged and nothing was charged twice. Against our better judgment we actually removed the $15 cost for this customer because they threw such a tantrum. Of the two types of wheels, mag and spoke, most spoke wheels need a tube and rim strip in order to be safely installed. This customer was very skeptical that a tube or rim strip was needed for their bike as you can read above. This customers wheel had a tube and rim strip on it when we removed the tire for him, and they are not safely reusable. We do thousands of tire changes per year and we replace the rim strip on all tires which require the use of a tube. Tubes are also not safely reusable. Of course we use weights to balance the tire, but they're not free here nor are they anywhere. We'd caution any business engaging with this customer. They simply expect to be able to interpret a promotion however they please and not pay for parts or services they request. If they don't get their way they attack you online anywhere they can.
