So a couple of weeks ago pawned my paint rig with who I believe was the owner. Very friendly guy. I went back 2 weeks later and the other person that was there said he wouldn't take it bc it might not work he said even tho I could turn it on and prove it. Anyone know of a place that isn't different answers depending on the person? The rig is only 9 months old. I need consistency not sporaticness so I won't use Max's pawn anymore and won't recommend either.

This store needs to go out of business this is the worst Pawn shop I ever been to I went to get my item out an the man told me one price to get it out an change the price up more to get my item out then they charge u more money if u don't have a ticket an there receipts fade smh as long as I got my license I should not be charge more an the man talk to me so bad told me never come back to the store cause I told him they was ripping people off to get more money from the item that I wanted to get out I will never go back there again not good customer service

Hello Jamie, We are so sorry that you were given a different answer on separate occasions. Many mechanical items can become quite problematic. Paint rigs can be very temperamental. We are not able to service items such as these. If the rigs are not kept in near perfect condition between jobs they can degrade very quickly due to the dried paint. In the future if you have any issues such as this please contact the owner, Craig Toys, as he may be able to assist you better.

Hello Wayne, Are you sure that you have written on the correct pawnshop's page? We do not have a Wayne H. in our system that has been into this location in the last 5 years. But just in case you meant this for another location I will address your concerns. Max's has been continuously in business since 1935 so Shreveport/Bossier must think we are doing something right. The redemption price is regulated by our software based on the loan amount and date that it was pawned. We are required by state law to maintain a lost ticket statement and the fee for that is $3.50. It is in the contract that you sign when you get the loan. Unfortunately just about everywhere that you shop they will have similar thermal receipt printers and over time the receipts will fade. We do retain all records so if there was ever a question we could easily pull up all previous transactions. In the future, if you have these types of issues and concerns in a business I recommend contacting the owner to see if they can help you in that situation before it escalates to everyone being upset. The owner of Max's, Craig Toys, would be happy to talk with you about your recent experience.
