        Paul Harris, my service advisor, has been exceptional. He guided me through an extended warranty repair process when the transmission on my 2018 Honda HRV failed on the highway. The service Paul provided, along with the consistent excellence of Curtis Ryan's service on my previous visits, warrants the 5-star rating I'm awarding today. Regrettably, this experience has led me to conclude that this will likely be my final Honda purchase. The malfunction of Honda's CVT transmission nearly caused a bad accident on the highway when my car lost all power while navigating a curved exit. Stranded and unable to move, I had to dial 911 as vehicles approached from behind, unable to see around the corner. Fortunately, a state trooper arrived on the scene quickly to help push my vehicle to the nearest exit ramp. This unexpected event occurred just as the car reached 100,000 miles. While I appreciate Honda's coverage of the CVT under an extended warranty, this incident, coupled with the catalytic converter also failing at 100k of mostly highway miles was deeply disappointing. I've been adamant about routine vehicle maintenance so these problems really came as a surprise.

The issues you experienced with your vehicle are not typical of the Honda Brand and we worked diligently with our Factory Representative to get these repairs covered. Honda stands behind their products and authorized the repairs outside of the normal warranty period. Another manufacturer may not have given this coverage and left you with a repair of over $7000. We hope you will reconsider your decision to not purchase another Honda. The Honda brand has always been know for reliability and value.
