Tonight I was being followed by a man in his car. I did not know this man and I was terrified. It was not too late at night so I ran up to this business and frantically told a worker on the other side of the garage door at 15th and Boston that someone was following me and I felt unsafe. He would not open the door and did not seem to care. I heard the car coming back so I crouched between the door and a car and at last, upon seeing my growing fear, they let me in. Shaking I tried scheduling a Lyft to come get me. It was not more than two minutes and the workers asked me to go outside again. The Lyft was only a block away but I was scared to death and still shaking; this place didn’t care about it and kicked me out not bothering to ask if I was ok or if I felt safe to go back outside. I did not feel safe to go back outside. Had the Lyft driver not pulled up seconds after they asked me to leave I’m not sure what I would have done.
