      image There's no way this is a 4 star resort, especially for Scottsdale. The Phoenician next door is a 4 star resort. This is a 2 star property at best. They try, but the accommodations are dated (although very clean); they'd be dated for 1970. Great location. Acceptable overall experience at best. What makes this place unworthy of consideration is the service. Don't call the front desk! They don't want to be bothered. And you better be out at 9:59 on check out day or you receive a comically bad, sarcastic, nasty call from the front desk threatening to charge you (even if you're in the midst of packing your car)! Super weird.

We renovate a portion of our villas annually and our goal is to be a home-away-from-home for our guests. We know that when you choose to vacation in a location like Scottsdale you have many choices and there are city hotels that are sleek, modern and full of glass and hip trendy options and full-service resorts like the Phoenician which is a 5-star/4-diamond resort. We do not try to compete with either of these types of hotels, again we are striving for a different experience for our guests; a home-away-from-home.
