About
Biltmore Portrait Studio

A Biltmore Portrait is the marriage between the realism of a photograph and the distinct richness of an oil painting. Biltmore chooses to use an old world technology to transform ordinary professional headshots and personal portraits into a unique work of art for each client. Once your portrait has been printed to the highest standards, it is then turned over to one of our renowned artists. Our method takes a simple professional headshot or personal portrait and enhances it with several layers of oil-based artistry applied to your portrait to bring out the most subtle of details. One cannot help but notice how the artist carefully awakens each highlight of the portrait to its fullest beauty and grandeur, rendering it similar to an exquisite oil painting. All professional portraits are finished entirely by one of our master artists. Their painting skills completes the Biltmore characteristic; giving each portrait an exquisite three dimensional and life-like look finished in grand European style. Meticulously hand crafted from conception through framing, your headshot turned formal portrait will be a cherished heirloom beautifully portraying your legacy A work of art that will be passed down to your children and generations beyond.

image When we first responded to the Facebook ad, we had no idea what to expect. We are so grateful we took the leap of faith & scheduled a Portrait Session as a new family with our toddler! Sylvio & his partner Loretta made us comfortable & he captured the essence of each of our personalities in a few snapshots. I'm very grateful for his time & creative energy!! We are forever thankful!!!!

image I found Biltmore on Facebook and signed up for a family portrait raffle. I did this on a whim with no idea of what to expect. My past experiences with family pictures taught me they were a stressful process but when we arrived at Biltmore and Silvio greeted us, I knew it was going to be a completely different experience. Silvio made it fun and stress free. We picked out our favorite picture and anxiously awaited for the finished work. I picked up the portrait today and I am completely in love. It is a lot better than I expected. It's absolutely beautiful. My children's reaction upon seeing it was wonderful. They smiled and were excited to have it up in the living room. We are excited to come back for another family portrait.

image My experience with Biltmore Studios was much more than having a portrait done, it was a lifetime experience. My involvement with Biltmore Studios all began when I realized I needed to capture the special relationship my daughter has with my mother. They are both creative, kind, and beautiful in so many ways. After my mom had a bit of a health scare, I knew I had to do something to capture their unique relationship.
My mother is a very private person and I thought she would not be interested in having a portrait done of the three of us. She is always the one behind the scenes taking care of everyone and rarely wants to be in family photos. I was nervous to ask her, but to my absolute surprise, she was thrilled about the idea. We decided to plan a day out together, just the three of us. We had lunch, shopped, and enjoyed lots of laughs and storytelling.
For the portrait, my mother decided to wear an elegant black dress and selected her jewelry very carefully. The necklace she wore was given to her by my sister, so she could be a part of this as well. Then she had on two bracelets given to her by her grandkids. I chose earrings given to me by my husband and a family ring passed down to me from my great aunt. My daughter wore a dress and jewelry that she felt best matched her personality. I never expected what we decided to wear would tell a story on its own. Now when I look at the portrait, I will be reminded of all these meaningful gifts.
After having a memorable day together, we now were eager for our appointment. As the three of us were walking in, I almost teared up thinking about how special the moment was for us. Once we walked into the studio, we were all mesmerized by the beautiful art on display. I could not believe we were about to create something that beautiful. I was also nervous, as I know my mother does not like to be the center of attention, and I was not sure how she was going to be able to relax and enjoy the moment. The most amazing thing happened, Silvio took over. He asked us thoughtful questions about what we wanted from the experience, he took the time to get to know each of us and he talked us through each step. Once we were all comfortable and relaxed, we got started.
Watching an artist create a masterpiece is hard to describe and amazing to see. Silvio was in his creative zone and made all kinds of adjustments until the setting was just right. This entire time he kept us at ease and content. As time went by during the staging, all I was thinking about was how lucky my daughter is to have this family legacy to treasure for years to come. After we were done, all of us were speechless. I could not thank Silvio enough for making the time together so meaningful. After we left the studio, the three of us then went out to breakfast and we could not stop smiling.
Before I knew Silvio and Biltmore Studios, I used to think that getting a portrait done sounded like a task and one that I kept putting off. Now I would say to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime experience, book an appointment. Do not wait another day to go by because life is short and memories fade. Knowing that my daughter will have this masterpiece to share as our family legacy for years to come gives me the greatest joy any mother could desire.
