Although they made a good first impression, the follow up was awful which led to severe health problems.

I have been going to premier pain probably 7+ years. Going to a pain management doctor is a process of medications, physical therapy, procedures. Its not a 1 appt fix. I have great doctors. Rihanna For medication refills and to see how my pain is being managed. Dr. Asif has done RFA's for me but does my botox migraine treatments. Dr. Kapoor currently does all my RFA lower lumbar and cervical spine procedures. They are all amazing Im treated with repect and compassion and always asked If I was comfortable and pain free during procedured. You do have to keep up with appointments to stay one step ahead of pain. Pain is controlled. Some months are better then others but relief in anyway gives you freedom again to live a more productive life. I continue with monthly follow ups so I understand the treatments I need to stay ahead of my severe pain. As long as I follow the recommended treatment/ procedures so Im much more comfortable. Dont wait till your in severe pain manage the pain it will be much less if you keep up treatment. I love them all and Dr. Kapoor is awesome very compassionate and easy to talk to. The surgical staff are so great too. I love them. Vikkie Drawant

Not a great experience. I wont defame the particular doctor who gave me the most issues because that is cruel, but I just want to share so I can help others. I have had knee pain for years. Nobody could give me a diagnosis because nothing shows up on imaging. A neurologist I saw suggested saphenous nerve pain and recommended an ultrasound guided steroid injection. I went to see someone at Premier Pain and Spine. She wanted to do a genicular nerve block. The practice contacted me about a week before the procedure to say it wasnt covered by insurance and I would owe a $500 copay just for the local anesthetic block alone. I called my insurance and they said the office never even made a claim. I called the day of the appointment and asked if I could please just get the cortisone shot that was initially recommended. They said fine. Come in. i came in and expected a cortisone nerve injection. Instead the doctor wanted to inject my knee joint. I asked why she was doing this- her words were, this is all your insurance will cover. Maybe you should get better insurance. She did the injection and it increased my pain. At my followup, I told the PA. They said they tried to apply for authorisation for the nerve block after the fact and it was denied. They would appeal it. Weeks later I heard nothing. I called the office and asked if they appealed the decision. Practice manager said they did and the appeal was denied. I confirmed with insurance they never filed an appeal. I called them again- they fessed up and said they never appealed the decision- they lied to me before. They promised to appeal again. Weeks later they still didnt bother. Now I see the procedure they said was covered by insurance that inured my knee was actually not even covered. Also, my medical records are incorrect- they said I have DJD when there is absolutely nothing in my medical history to suggest that- my knee joint looks great and I have saphenous nerve entrapment. They are driven by profits with no concern for patient care. As an aside- that genicular nerve block they said my insurance wont cover- Northwestern got it covered!
