Ascension Alexian Brothers - Behavioral Health Hospital

The office claimed they spoke with my pharmacy regarding one of my prescriptions, but when I called the pharmacy, I was told they never received a call. Not sure what's going on, but this is very concerning. Staff is very hard to get a hold of. Once again, my prescriptions got messed up.

They have "bachelor level clinicians" which is not a real thing. This hospital unethically has untrained professionals treating mental health conditions. Send your loved ones elsewhere.

I would like everyone to notice how most of the negative reviews are from people that didnt want to be in care at all. But for those of us, that did, this is the best facility I have ever seen, run and operated, in my life. I have a history of visiting these facilities not only for myself, but through family members. You are treated with nothing but dignity, respect, and not like you are some prisoner that is being held against your will. I cannot say enough great things about the Staff, the food, the rooms, the cleanliness; And the overall care that was shown towards me. My first stint of having a mental health episode, I made the mistake of going to Northwest community in Arlington Heights, DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!! You are treated as nothing more but a prisoner, and they have patients interacting and mingling with aggressive people with criminal backgrounds that made every single patient, feel unsafe, and nervous. Not to mention, no security around when you need it. As a patient, I never felt safe at Northwest, because there was never any security to stop other patients with much more severe issues than myself, go into my room, beat me up, poop on my bed, and threaten me at any hours of the day and or night. Northwest community would take you off your drugs, and make you prove you need certain meds by taking your blood pressure. All that did was train us how to raise our blood pressure, to get the medications we know we need, and that we have prescribed to for many years. Alexian Brothers does no such thing, if you need them for any reason, they are there to help. Even if thats someone to talk to, question, anything at all. I never felt like I wasnt being taken care of, I never felt like I wasnt safe, and I adored every single person I interacted with. Dr Woods was my psychiatrist, and he couldnt have been better for me. He knew so much more than what my prior psychiatrist knew, that it actually changed my life, and explained my manic episodes. Again, I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Please go here and not places like Streamwood, and Northwest in Arlington Heights. Northwest community is just a half a step above being an inmate. And dare you question anything about your medication, your release date, or actually anything at all; they will use it against you and force you to stay much, much, much longer than you need to. This place is an insurance scam, and needs to be shut down immediately. If I never went to Alexian Brothers, I would have assumed that all facilities are run and operated this way. But now I know, that there is some humanity, graciousness, and patience, for those of us that needed it in the right facility.. Thank you to the entire staff, establishment, and/or other. These negative reviews are not at all fair. ***** all around

Open 24/7 for assessments. Obviously, they care, unlike all the others. Turned away or on a long wait list? Go visit them. No appointment needed!!!!!

if i could give this place 0 stars i would. i was sent here for 3 months and it was pure living hell. none of the staff cares about your mental health. they assign a doctor to you along w a case manager. the doctor i had was an indian male who forced you to take medication everyday and multiple kinds. i didnt need the medication i was prescribed and it was forced down my throat to take. i still have flash backs from this place. there is nothing positive about this place. the other patients i met were all nice and all had the same thoughts as me, being this place is hell. the staff doesnt care about your mental health whatsoever. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE.
