From the first phone call, to the last goodbye, Heartland was there for us in a way I can only describe as soul-saving. Nothing prepares you for the death of a loved one, even when you know it is imminent.  THANK YOU  Celia Hansen  who brought Heartland to us...thank you, you wonderful Dr. Khan  who has not only knowledge, but enormous gentleness and patience...thank you Vera for showing me and explaining everything i needed to do...and thank you Lisa for being there for all my weekend phone calls, no matter how late.YOU ARE ALL ANGELS....I hope you read this.

Words can't express the love and support of this organization! My aunt was moved into hospice after a long and grueling fight with cancer. Although she lost her fight yesterday (Thanksgiving), they were there for us and her throughout every step! Cera and Kristen are angels! They assisted her with everything and with us as her family to ensure a warm and dignified good-bye. Cera held my aunt's hand while she passed over and spent hours not just comforting my aunt, but comforting our family through the transition. You just don't find people who genuinely care anymore, I was shocked to say the least by these people! May God bless you on your road and you will always have a grateful friend!

By the time my mother got on Hospice care I was overwhelmed. The Heartland staff have been so present, honest and always available to be in communication with me (even if I left a message, someone has gotten right back with me.) One person broke a promise and was a complete professional with their honesty and just taking responsibility for the circumstance that had caused the broken promise. In my world, that is music to my ears. When I am overwhelmed ... especially, with regard to my mother's care ... I need honest, present, loving people helping me who are going to deliver. I have felt as if I have Angel wings wrapped around me with these people. Life is simple: Be loving, have your words match your actions, listen to the other, reply in kind with words that forward happiness and well-being.Said another way: In any situation ask: "What would God do?" If it's kind and loving ... do it. If it's unkind ... don't do it, karma is real.May the grace of God always be your safekeeping as you flourish and prosper in all ways important to you!
