Do not use this insurance company to obtain insurance. Insurance agent Sharon is the worst but I wasn't 100% sure until now. She helped me get insurance Sept 2016 and initially seemed pretty helpful and nice. She had a quote from Mercury for me and then I realized that I might qualify for additional discount because of a credential I hold. She told me she can't update the quote since there's an existing one but once I accept it, she can talk to the underwriter and change it. I should have known better but since she was referred to me by a friend, I trusted her. So, I accepted the quote. After that, she stopped responding to any follow ups from me about the possible credential discount. (Not even "Hey, I looked but looks like it won't qualify you.") I let it go because the premium wasn't super high anyways and because she's a friend of a friend. So at the time she had also told me I have to keep the policy for one year before I could cancel it. So fast forward to now, I am canceling my policy. Her coworker, Susanna, helps me (Susanna is actually quite nice). I cancel on 17th and premium is still deducted on the 20th. Susanna ends up having to tell me I can't get the premium back because of the cancellation fee because it takes Mercury a few days to process the cancellation. As we talk about this and I am getting upset that I wasn't told about this cancellation policy, Susanna turns the phone call over to Sharon since it was Sharon who initially sold the policy to me. Sharon and I debate and argue over this because she never mentioned about a cancellation fee except for if I didn't keep my policy for at least one year. At some point she tells me that if she goes to buy new insurance, she would have asked about any cancellation policy. So apparently it's my fault for not knowing clearly when she said just keep one year and after that you can cancel. Anyways, she ends the phone call with, so are you cancelling? I told her I already canceled and she said: "Okay then, I can't help you." And hangs on up me.

Great experience! Customer service is awesome and prompt. Was able to answer all my questions and find the policy that was covered all my needs and was in my price range!

Sharon is great.  Real accommodating without being forceful.  She will listen to what you need and provide you options which cater to you.  One of the last few honest insurance companies in San Gabriel Valley.
