I've never met her in person. I have only talked to her on the phone which literally was worse than listening to cats fight while in heat. If she is really as old as it states on her website.....I would expect her to have better phone etiquette. Half the conversation revolved on her having a PhD.

I could not recommend Dr. Hoffman enough. Dr. Hoffman was the first doctor after a series of visits to 3 other podiatrists, that was able to properly diagnose my condition and propose a correct and effective treatment. I can say that she has basically saved my foot! I had an issue with sesamoitidis for over 4 months without anyone properly diagnosing it and without improvements. I got her contact from a personal trainer, whom she also helped (she had a sesamoid fracture and several failed attempts with other doctors). There are not many doctors out there who understand the sesamoid bones and conditions connected to them. Dr. Hoffman is definitely someone who has that knowledge and knows how to address these issues effectively. It is crucial and difficult to find a specialist like Dr. Hoffman and I am glad I did. I never write reviews, but I had to for this doctor as I am happy to share it with others who are having trouble finding a doctor they can trust. Added to her knowledge she is also very personable and interested in listening to your issue to properly analyze the condition and propose the best treatment.

Very flat feet. Lots of pain. Wasn't daunting to the renowned Dr. Hoffman who has saved countless numbers of patients from surgery (I did the research). This doctor DEVELOPED the methods to treat unusual conditions and lectures world-wide. What impressed me more was that she understands physiology...and some things I'd discussed with my chiropractor. What cements the care is watching the parade of DOCTORS who see her regularly for THEIR FEET!Can't always make foot problems go away completely, but if you need someone to trust for your long-term care, start here. I've not had the need to proceed to surgery and am amazed by some of the small adjustments with orthotics that Dr Hoffman where has been able to calm my foot pain.Lisa is the receptionist and you'll not find a kinder or more conscientious person.

Dr. Hoffman, seems nice enough, I'm not reviewing her...do your research.  However...Her receptionist, Christine is a nightmare. You wouldn't want to ask her for help, and, god forbid have her be aggravated with your particular learning curve in medical billing ...Listening to her explain to a elderly patient, the Medicare process for submitting documents was embarrassing.  She should be ashamed.  The patient was so berated by this women she apologized to her.  What?  The receptionist should apologize.  One for yelling her issues across the lobby so anyone could hear.  And I told her so.  She told me to be quiet too.  What a piece of work!  I would think treating people better would be a better way to go.I didn't like "over hearing" the exchange and I felt compelled to review it...with the trying times ahead of us in Healthcare, we must treat each other with respect, Christine.

My new orthotics have me hiking and walking happily again.  Dr. Hoffman was thorough and didn't finalize the new pair til she was sure all the adjustments she was adding to my old pair were perfect. She knew what was needed to take the pressure off my congenitally problematic feet.  Whahoo for my bad foot's new lease on life!  Walked Lake Merritt yesterday with NO PAIN!!!  WARNING:  Parking in the area is not fun!!!
