The most demoralizing and humiliating experience l have had in sometime was at Discover Health! I was referred to them by another provider and was to be introduced to Dr. Desmond Wilson as he was accepting new patients. For unknown reasons, he did not want to work with me and suggested that l work with Dr. Harvey. I had a phone consult with her and then she invited me to the office to meet her and the staff. We had what l believed to be a good conversation and meeting. I was then instructed to contact Miguel, the membership manager to move forward,
Trying to deal with Miguel was like hitting my head against a brick wall. He never returned phone calls or left messages. When l did finally reach him, he said he had been on vacation, so wasnt replying to calls. He then insisted that Dr. Harvey was completely booked for over a year. This was completely arbitrary to the impression l got from Dr. Harvey. I already have other specialists in place, such as an orthopedic doctor, so she agreed, in her words, that l just needed a wingman.
I reached out to the office and spoke with Shelby and asked if Dr. Harvey could give me a call and explain the situation. I never heard back from her. Either way, it was an awful experience being teased into an office visit when they had absolutely no intention of offering me current membership. A bait and switch experience which not only took a lot of my time but was utterly soul destroying!
In reply to the response posted by Discover HealthThe doctor who is accepting new patients, Dr. Wilson, refused to take me on after a very brief Zoom meeting. So, to say that it didnt meet my expectations is really stretching the truth. Indeed, it was the opposite in that, l didnt meet Dr.Wilsons expectations and standards. I was never given a reason!
Finally, if you really arent taking new patients, and have a very inept membership manager, Miguel, then you need to communicate with each other more effectively! It is standard practice to be added to a waiting list rather than have a prospective patient actually come in and take office tours and proceed with more interviews.

His regular checkups were more than just medical examinations; they were opportunities for laughter, play, and building trust with Dr. Agbai and her team. We never felt rushed or dismissed, and our questions were always answered with patience and compassion.

Dr. Castelli is simply the best! Very responsive, caring and has excellent bedside manners. Our kids love their dr visits. We are very happy with him as our pediatrician, and with the whole team at Discover Health. Thank you!
