San Diego Point Loma SDA Church

A good barometer for a church is how they treat the marginalized among them. So here is a story of how Point Loma SDA treated a homeless mechanic in their parking lot: December 11, 2021, around 7am the church covered his cars with yellow towing notices for the next morning, less then 24 hours later. He is homeless, does live in the parking lot with his dog, but doesn't beg, bother anyone, or do much beyond fixing some cars presumably trying to improve himself. He's at the far end no where near their building. About 4pm, on the same day, December 11, 2021 after covering himself, his dog, and his car in gasoline he lit himself on fire and ended his life. The neighbors living around him attempted to get him out and watched as he passed unable to help. The church was attempting to empty their parking lot, with no effort made to help those IN their parking lot. I sincerely hope they enjoy the empty lot, because it cost a man his life, and they don't have enough cars to fill the lot themselves. The next morning the gentleman in charge of towing cars (pictured) was completely unsympathetic, and even hostile to the fact he was standing in the ashes of the sluiced 16 hours earlier, towing vehicles belonging to the deceased, and neighbors, or talking with people in the community dealing with witnessing the horrible tragedy they brought about. And the King will answer them, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'. - Matthew 25:40 A church can take back their parking lot, but help the people in it, don't drive them to despair and suicide! Find a church that cares about people, ignore this one.

Great Christian music. Sad to see it so empty because it's such a beautiful church. The guess speaker talked about himself 99% of the time and read his sermon. Message wasn't inspiring but nevertheless glory be to God.

It is a little church that has been there since the 50's. It is an awesome place for worship and fellowship
