The ER - get excited to wait for 6 yes 6 HOURS!!! For nothing. Not worth it. Nurse was rude and there's absolutely no communication between the staff. Get ready to tell 5 different people the same thing. And wait wait wait wait till you can't wait anymore and then they "pop" in to tell you the next person will be there shortly. I work in the medical field and totally am understandable about these things but this place is really unbelievable. Just got to the urgent care--- ER isn't worth it.

When your having symptoms and you are a little nervous on what is causing it, you hope to go somewhere you are treated like a person who matters. Thank you Sharp for making this happen!

Doctor Edward Huynh is not a caring or compassionate doctor.  He is a robot and doesn't even deserve a one-star review.  We made the mistake of choosing him based off reviews on the Sharp website which all reflected 5 stars.  Since then, we have googled his reviews and see that he has much lower scores on other websites and the comments are much more aligned with the experience we had.Every time we sent a message to Dr. Huynh, he responded 3+ days later, if he even responded at all.  Every time my dad was hospitalized, they would contact Dr. Huynh and tell us he would likely stop by, but he never did.  He never stopped by and he never called.  We were guided through everything by various hospital oncologists because Dr. Huynh was never there. The office Dr. Huynh practices out of has lost several Oncologist over the last few months, shifting existing patients to the doctors that remain.  The doctors and staff cannot keep up, yet they never tell you they can't take you as a patient.  When it came to a hospital bed and a wheelchair, we spent over a month going back and forth with the office staff because they kept telling us they sent in the documentation to Super Care.  Super Care kept telling us that the provider just kept faxing over the same chart notes, but no actual notes explaining the need of the ordered equipment. We wish Dr. Huynh, or the practice would have told us they didn't have the capacity to take my dad as a patient.  At least then we would have found a doctor that had the time to explain things to him and provide the care we needed.Cancer is horrible.  If you're reading this, I'm sorry it's something you are facing.  Equip yourself to fight the battle you have ahead and avoid Dr. Huynh and the rest of the doctors that work out of that office.  You are going to have questions and you will want someone there to answer them.  You won't get that from this office.

This review is for the Sharp Rees-Stealy Wound Care Clinic at the Frost Street facility. I was referred to them by my Primary Care doctor in February. Nurse "Ryan", who I since discovered is not listed as a certified "WOCN" (Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing) provider, was the nurse I saw. Anyway, he examined my stoma and decided to cut some sutures that were holding the stoma in place. I questioned him whether he should ask the surgeon first and he said he didn't have to and that he removes sutures all of the time. The day after he removed the sutures, the stoma had grown to at least three times its previous length and at least doubled in diameter. That made it extremely difficult to attach the "appliance" (flange and pouch) that captures waste. He also changed the prescription from a custom oblong size to round. He actually pulled the skin until the hole was round and said "See, it's round."  The end result was I went from only having to change the appliance every 4-5 days to changing it every other day and still having problems with poor sealing to my skin, which caused sores from leakage of body waste. It also meant I had to be very careful with any physical activity because that could also cause leakage.Literally every provider I've told this to was shocked that Ryan took it upon himself to remove sutures without consulting a doctor first. I complained to an Sharp Rees-Stealy "Patient Liaison" and received a letter from them saying they would "determine whether the care provided met community standards" - basically legal gobbledygook. The letter also stated "The information generated from our quality management reviews are confidential... For this reason, we are not free to discuss with you the outcome of the review or disciplinary steps that may be taken by SRS."So basically, my formal complaint went down a bottomless hole, never to see the light of day.
