This used to be one of the better Indian restaurant in Salem. Their butter chicken and vegetable curry were better than the India palace downtown. Their tandoori chickens were spice with fresh herbs, not just marinade which make them red, their naan bread was made fresh from scratch. For some reason, either new owner or different cook, their food in the last 3 or 4 times we went there weren't as good as it used to. Chickens were dry and even when swimming in the curry or butter chicken sauce, they still taste like inadequately spiced.

Visited for the first time in a long time tonight. They are under new management. Terrible food, from a jar or from frozen. 'Medium spicy' butter chicken was sweet, super salty, not even slightly spicy, with chicken that was definitely not tandoori or even cooked in its sauce. Dirty, sticky menus. Really dirty bathrooms. No other customers. Sad to see this place gone so downhill. Couldn't eat the food and just had to get out of there.
