I really wanted to love this place, but I did not have a pleasant experience foaling my mare out at Wind N Wood Farm. Throughout my mare's entire pregnancy, my vet had been checking her hormones, weight, etc weekly. After spending an entire month at this farm, Dave told me he did not believe my mare was pregnant. Seriously?? He told me "maybe she just had a good winter." I did an ultrasound just to prove to him that my mare was pregnant, and sure enough, she was pregnant. These people instantly jump to the worst case scenario. Dave even told me that when a mare goes past their due date he "writes them off." My mare was 1 month past due and she gave birth to a beautiful, healthy foal. He then told me she looked premature. After all of this, they told me the wrong gender of my foal!! I believed for 24 hours my mare gave birth to a colt when she was a filly. I had to physically go out there for them to double check the gender. Now, I do have to give them some credit. They did help my mare deliver her foal. I believe these people do know what they are talking about, but they often act as though they are a veterinarian. The level of speculation about everything was out of this world.

Recommended to me by Anoka equine. Price seems fair for the level of service and experience.
