Joel Laxer, MD

I have started going to Dr. Laxer after my internist retired recently. He was suggested by another doctor. Dr. Laxer takes time with you and is very thorough and thoughtful in his approach. He takes plenty of time and there is no rushing through your appointment. He seems genuinely interested in providing the best care and covering all aspects of health.

Dr. Laxer is very competent and nice person. No scheduling issues, no overbooking of patients, and almost no waiting when arriving to an appointment.

Dr. Laxer has been treating my older mother for quite some time. He is always attentive and caring. She has may complications but is doing well under his care. I am glad to have someone who knows what to do and who I can trust working with my family.

My brother went to Dr Laxer because he was not feeling well and knew something was wrong. Dr Laxer told him he is fine, and come back in a few weeks if you still are not feeling well. My brother went to him again and the Dr said you are still fine, there is nothing wrong with you. It turns out that my brother already had stage 4 Esophageal CANCER and he sadly passed away 5 months later. The Dr misdiagnosed him twice and probably cost my beloved brother his life. :(

I dunno, go somewhere else? Cluttered offices, middling doctors, and a fairly incompetent office staff (twice submitted the wrong health insurance information). Fine for routine ailments, but you can certainly do better.
