Have been using their products and services for years and always very happy. Had a little service snafu this year and they went over the top to fix it. I was actually blown away with what they did to take care of it. Great customer service, thanks Brian and Sue!

We bought a fountain and lights last summer and even though the fountain was tethered by the stakes and string they sold us and stayed in place, the very long 100' electrical cords, which was not mostly needed and tangled together in the water and rubbed the black covering off of both cords only where they intercepted. When you put the two cords together anyone can clearly see how they twisted together. A light shorted out so I returned it for replacement under warranty. The warranty says, "LRI (Lake Restorations) will repair or replace the product at LRI's option." This is actually what it says under the "Warranty Information" booklet for their Vitaflume fountain. In other words, there is NO warranty. The warranty also reads, "LRI further warrants that if this product fails to operate properly, within one year of the purchase date and the failure is due to improper workmanship or defective material, LRI will repair or replace the product at LRI'S OPTION. The fountain and attached lights were properly installed, per their written instructions, and failed due to product failure of the two cords. The owner Keven and engineer, Paul, will not stand behind their product by repairing, shortening, or replacing the two cords on the fountain, or lighting system that clip together. There were no instruction to zip tie the two cords together to prevent the excess of the two cords from binding and tightening together. They claim the frayed cords are not covered under the warranty, whether an animal bit them or they twisted together. They know that an animal did not bit up the cord, anyone looking at it can see that. At first, LRI said they would fix the light in 15 minutes, which they didn't do. Then they said they would call me when it was repaired, when they said they could not repair in 15 minutes. I told them, to please call me that day as soon as it was repaired and I would have an employee come and pick it up. I didn't hear from them and so several days later I stopped by. This time Paul said that it is warranty work and they have 10 day to do warranty work, even though ten days had elapsed. Several days later, I returned to their shop, because Paul had called me to say that they would email me the cost of the repair of the animal bite marks in the cord. Paul did not email us anything. I returned to their shop with the fountain and cord this time and showed Paul and the owner Keven how the cords fit together perfectly and were rubbing against each other. I had understood that LRI was going to make the repair to the original lighting system under warranty. No, they were giving me back the original lighting system with no repairs to it and selling me a new one. Surprisingly, they stood by their original story that the cord damage was made by animal bite marks. Keep in the mind, this a cord and light bulb, that malfunctioned, due to product failure. How many times have they told this story to their customers? They said they had 10 more warranty days to fix the cord at my cost. They recommended I buy a new light system for $500 - $600, and 30% off. They said that whether the cords had been bitten or rubbed together, there was no warranty. I asked them both to clip both to just clip short the long cord and return it to me and then I would zip tie together. They won't do that. Now, weeks later and five trips to their shop, I have no working fountain and light system, will not get the fountain or lighting back fixed without paying $300 to $500 more and they will not tell me when they will be able to make the repairs. They are not honest and they have really poor customer service. I should have done my homework before doing business with LRI.
