What an absolutely warm and welcoming community! Every time you step inside, you'll find residents enjoying art projects or live music. The staff at Sunrise Rockville is the real gem: Clint, the executive director, actively engages with residents, Megan consistently provides a warm welcome and a helping hand, and Alex is busy assisting residents with their activities. Situated in downtown Rockville, it offers the perfect location with a small-town family atmosphere. I highly recommend this community to my clients who seek a genuine sense of family and community.

This place isn't good. They don't communicate, they lie, and don't follow simple instructions. One of the workers here (a male) was aggressive towards our father, and NOTHING happened to him. The only person that was absolutely amazing was Andy! She was very sweet to not just my father but to everyone else. It seemed like Clinton and Alicia only wanted to drug my father so he's all drugged up like everyone else on the 4th floor. I guess they aren't used to our family coming here almost everyday, and are not used to having families be on point. The ONE STAR IS FOR ANDY SHE WAS AMAZING!!

In the final days of our loved ones life the home sent her to the hospital without the advance directives thus prolonging her suffering. In addition they then added charges in excess of $2K in addition to the $2k we had paid , for ONE NIGHT. Find somewhere else if you care about your person. Staff turnover was frequent contacting anyone impossible.

To the staff and administration of Sunrise Rockville. My Name is Coleman O'Donoghue. I am writing on behalf of the entire O'Donoghue family in regards to the excellent treatment that my aunt Margo received over the past 8 years at Sunrise.We would all like to say thank you for so many years of taking wonderful care of Margo.We all know for a fact that Margo was more than unique, one of a kind, often fun, and sometimes difficult. All we can say is that Margo lived the best life possible given her situation. While at Sunrise, Margo was given access to plants, vegetables, and gardens. She was allowed to be herself, so much so, that she smoked herself out of the main building and had a new designated tobacco gazebo put in place. Margo was very happy at Sunrise. The staff was alway kind and gentle. I honestly felt like they loved Margo.That really showed in the last difficult years. On December 8th 2017, Margo had a stroke; she could no longer get out of bed, use the bathroom, walk, or even navigate a wheelchair. She was allowed to remain in her private room, despite her requiring much more of the staff's attention. Covid lockdown hit and not being able to visit or speak with Margo for over a year was heartbreaking. But the staff kept her healthy. They kept her mind active with constant attention to all of her needs, medical, physical, mental, and social. I am sorry it took so long to say thank you to all of those fine employees at Sunrise. What they did for Margo was above and beyond exceptional care. Margo benefited in so many different ways from all of the staff's kindness...With real gratitude, the OD family say thank you!
