sorry to see Jim's restaurant close just one more of the landmarks' in the neighborhood demolished in the name of progress ? whatever they build in it's place the memories will live on for you can tear down the structure but you can't erase the memories of those who spent time being their i wish only the very best to all those who worked so hard in all kinds of weather to make sure everyone was satisfied with their order they were more like family than just the place you went for a meal they were frinds' and people you can never replace in your life...

I got wind of a very disturbing incident that happened there not too long ago. Apparently a black student from Rochester walked in there asking to use a telephone. He was greeted by a manager who told him to go back outside and then he proceeded to call law enforcement. I have been a fan of Jim's since I was very young. In the years that I have been going there, I never thought it to be a racist establishment. I'm going to TRY(no guarantees) to let this one go. But I have a feeling myself and that manager are going to have a very personal discussion.

Been going to Jim's weekly now for about two months, and there's a reason we keep coming back. Great small hometown-style breakfast place with great food at even better prices. All the waitresses and staff are always friendly and happy to serve. As college students its hard to find good quality breakfast for such low prices.
I HIGHLY recommend you try the coffee cake.. its unreal.

Hands down the best breakfast in Rochester. Can't beat the Price, Food, and Atmosphere. Even after moving to the burbs I still make it a point to drive to Jims on the weekend. I only thing I do wish is that Jims was more romantic. That way I would have an excuse to take the women there on date night ;)
