DONT EVER GO HERE THEY SCAM SCAM SCAM. TREAT CUSTOMER WITH DISRESPECT AND FILE FALSE STOLEN REPORT. This place is the worst. They called and reported the uhaul van I rented and had an extention on stolen. I get arrested. Charges were dropped. But now ima get charged for the impound and all the days they don't have it. Plus all my tools are stuck in there until they decided to stop running up the bill for me.

According to the fact that they sell propane gas and they never have it, the system always goes down 4 times the same thing has happened to me and they have a sign that says it is available

This has been cross posted to the BBB and will post everywhere else that is possible. After having a reservation confirmed for over 2 weeks, Uhaul calls me the day before my scheduled pick up to inform me that they do not have the equipment. They send me to another city to pick up where I went to at the scheduled date and time. My equipment was a 5x8 enclosed trailer and upon inspection of the trailer - I refused it since it was falling apart. The tires were worn and the old style glued on wooden railing was delaminating from the side walls. I made the specific request to have the equipment in better shape and to have the type with new railing to prevent damage. I was sent to another location (40 minutes away) only to be shown both trailers did not have the specific railing I requested. After calling the local dispatcher to confirm a location that had an acceptable equipment type I was sent another 40 minutes away. At this location, after completing my transaction, inspected the trailer that was dispatched which was finally a good operating, and acceptable trailer. When the employee working the yard saw that they had to move 1 trailer to get to the one that was dispatched to me, they modified my reservation without asking me. I then explained that I wanted the specific one that they had already dispatched to me so they had to modify the trailer back to the original. After calling Support to explain and complain to obtain a credit for such a bad experience, the call was first dropped. After another call, the representative explained that it was all my fault and that there would be no compensation authorized. I am now waiting for another manager to call me, but remember that Uhaul told me, their customer (and frequently at that) that it was MY fault that they had attempted to dispatch equipment in poor condition, and that Uhaul locations can modify your equipment even if the reason is for their convenience albeit your request of a specific one. I will update this as needed. I will also note that I received friendly customer service from Jose at the first location, as well as the two men working at the second location. The service from the riverside location was poor. I am attaching this review to this location since this is an actual Uhaul location, it was the only one with poor service from the 3 I visited today, and hopefully this location is tied to their corporate somehow since I cant believe that Uhaul would blame this poor experience on me their customer.
