ER rooms are dirty and have not been cleaned. ER team says to call when needed then when you call they don't come. Just like your told your waiting on a room to be cleaned and 4 hrs later your still waiting on said room. Trying to get a nurse into your room?? ( forget about it) your there and they no longer exist.

Don't ever go!! Ever!! 2 hours to even get blood drawn. We got the hell outta there. To long to wait for an emergency. Front desk rude as hell also!

As with all hospitals- different departments- different ratings. Good days - bad days. Everyone at once then calmer times. ER was wonderful and took great care of my loved one. In hospital - staff was very kind and caring as well. One star removed because of social worker.

A open letter to the administration of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, Sitting here as a human with a chronic illness has made me want to share a particularly bad experience that I had in the ER. This particular example has had such a negative affect on me that seeking emergency care has become an avoidance to the point that it causes severe anxiety attacks to think about coming to your facility for help. Long story short, I came into the ER for breathing/chest pains -which is what people are advised to do, and had to advocate for myself to get even get an xray- they found a mass on my thyroid and I was told by the clinician who gave me the results Well thats what happens when you go looking for things. Empathy, compassion, EXCUSE ME? No I was greeted with what seemed to be hostility, irrataion, and annoyance but why? For seeking medical help? Oh its not emergent - how am I or anyone to know unless we seek help? Why should I or anyone be be made to feel as if we are wrong for getting medical help? I sincerely hope that the powers to be take a long hard look at the care that they are providing to their patients at each interaction and know that the way you treat them matters and makes a difference. Know that the way your staff treats a person could be the very reason that someone lays in bed and suffers unnecessarily. Know that the people that your paying are and do mistreat the very people that they should be striving to and took an oath to treat. Know that because someone sought out help by your staff and was ignored or overlooked they avoided going the next time and they ended up dying. Is that the kind of care and treatment that you want your healthcare system to be known for? Because it is
