image I have been to many post office and the staff is usually very rude. That was not at all my experience today. I made my appointment online for my passport and the staff there was very friendly and kind when helping me today. Great job ladies you are truly appreciated.

image I took off work early to get passports for myself and my daughter not knowing that I needed an appointment. I got to the post office at 1:15 and was informed by the lady working in front that they accept walk-ins on Tuesdays (today) from 2-3, so I went to the lobby to wait. There was another lady waiting with her daughter for their appointment. I started sneezing and stepped outside until I stopped. When I came back in, the lady and her daughter were inside turning in their applications and several other people had come in, so I stepped back to the place I'd been waiting, on the opposite side of the lobby from the new people, who kept edging closer to the door. I went inside to tell the ladies that I wasn't sure where the line was, but there were new people and I deferred to the lady that I spoke with first, confirming that I had been there since 1:15, before any of the other people in the lobby. I went back to the lobby. When the other worker came out to ask who was first, the new lady said she was. I objected to that and told her I'd been there since 1 :15, to which the new lady said "so have I," which was not true, but the worker spoke to me as if I was lying and took the pajama-clad lady and her pajama-clad guy inside. I'm not sure why she was believed over me, there in my work uniform, but I'm betting neither of them had to take off work to be there. I'm not sure if/when I'll get another chance to do that. I'm so upset I could cry. If they had an actual sign-in sheet, there would have been no question as to who was there first, but I thought speaking to the workers twice while I was there would've made it so I wasn't treated so unfairly.
