My family purchased a stainless steel spice rack as a holiday present for me. It arrived moldy and rusted. When I attempted to return it (in the regular holiday return window), the website marked it as ineligible for return. I have the receipt, my family spent $70 on the item plus $16 shipping. When I tried calling the customer service line, I can never get through or I'm outside of business hours (but the business hours are never stated on the line so I don't know when a better time to call would be).
My family also made some purchases from West Elm that never got delivered for multiple different reasons. I grew up thinking that Williams Sonoma stores were higher end and higher quality.
I feel like we've been ripped off and would at minimum like a refund or store credit for the spice rack. Maybe there's a chance these stores can redeem themselves. If anyone at corporate is able to address this, the order number is 333313085529, purchased on November 27, 2023 for reference.

You lost a loyal customer. #1 sent defective material . #2 you do no include a prepaid return label with shipments like many companies do to make returns easier. #3 I requested you mail a return label multiple times and was told this was impossible #4 ironically, rather than refunding back to the gift e-card I used, or emailing me an e-card, you mail me a gift card. You can mail products all over the world, you can mail gift cards, but you cant mail a return label? Your rep said it was not possible to refund to an e-card. #5 when requested, you offer no customer feedback process. How much worse can you get Williams Sonoma?

This is the second time we make a large order from Pottery Barn, which is part of William Sonoma, and its not delivered until months later (in this case not yet). My daughters furniture was to be delivered before Thanksgiving. We sold off all of her PB furniture a few days prior to get ready for the new furniture; it is now a few days before Christmas and still no furniture. My daughter will have to sleep on the floor through Christmas! When I knew the furniture wouldnt be delivered on time, I asked for a placeholder bed, just until the new bed and rest of the pieces were delivered, and I was told that would be arranged, and then it was not. Then I was told arrival of the furniture was scheduled at the delivery center on the 11th, and then on the 14th, and then I didnt hear anything until I contacted them, and still no furniture. By now Im told delivery of a loaner bed would take 2-4 weeks!
How is this company is in business? All I see is terrible reviews. I had signed up for the business program to use their products for interior and exterior residential and commercial design, but I would never purchase anything from them on the account that it would never arrive on time.

I bought one item from Pottery Barn Kids two years ago, and am still trying to unsubscribe from all the unsolicited marketing emails and physical mail from all the companies under this umbrella. It is absolutely maddening, and I will not make the mistake of shopping here again.

Purchased cookware online Dec 11th for a Christmas present. Received email confirmation that the expected delivery was 12/18 - 12/19. I go to my inbox days later to find the tracking information so I know when to expect it, but no such email found. I go online to order details and am surprised to see it is BACKORDERED. WSI apparently does not send emails to customers to notify them that an item is not actually available to ship despite what's advertised and stated in the email confirmation. They instead let you assume your Christmas gift order is on its way when it's not even actually available period. I don't care that it was backordered, but I find it extremely ridiculous that there is no notification. Not acceptable. To make matters worse, you can't simply spend one second during the busiest time of year to cancel the order yourself online with the click of a button. You have to instead take minutes out of your day to call or wait for someone on live chat. What a terrible system, inconveniencing and upsetting your customers when it's so easily avoidable.
