Formal Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service Experience with Delta Care Provider Line Dear Delta Care Customer Service Team, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the poor level of customer service I received during a recent call to your company's provider line. The call was made on behalf of a patient we are trying to resolve an issue for the authorization. During this call, I encountered several significant issues that severely impacted my ability to address the concerns I had. Firstly, the initial representative I spoke with simply transferred the call back to the IVR system after keeping me on hold for an unacceptable period of 10 minutes. This lack of assistance and effective communication was highly frustrating and unacceptable. Subsequently, I was transferred to a second representative who, after putting me on hold, failed to return to the line, leaving me in a conference call limbo for a staggering 40 minutes. This prolonged wait without resolution is simply unacceptable and reflects a blatant disregard for customer service standards. Moreover, the third representative I spoke with exhibited a lack of initiative and empathy by merely taking my information and suggesting I file a grievance without adequately addressing the issue at hand. Furthermore, the representative advised me to seek further information through the online portal for benefits and eligibility, which was not only unhelpful but also indicative of a systemic issue within your customer service department. It is important to note that this is not an isolated incident but rather a recurring problem with Delta Care's provider line, particularly concerning eligibility, claims, and preauthorization, which has persisted since the onset of the pandemic in 2021. Despite numerous attempts to escalate these issues, there has been a lack of resolution and noticeable progress in addressing the ongoing challenges faced by customers like myself when attempting to engage with Delta Care. I am deeply disappointed by the level of service provided and urge Delta Care to take immediate action to rectify these issues. I expect a prompt and comprehensive response addressing the specific concerns raised in this complaint and outlining the steps that will be taken to improve customer service moving forward. Delta Dental is a horrible, parasitic insurance provider. They are not transparent about what they do and do not cover, and are incredibly difficult to work with.

Wow. This is a really, really bad customer service experience. Ive called twice now and been put on hold after a very confusing, lengthy, and understandably annoying call-tree. How is there a high volume of callers at 6:30 in the morning? I have yet to actually talk to someone.
