We found Northern Asphalt to be highly professional, responsive, and a real pleasure to work with. Bill and his crew did a superb job removing the old pavement and preparing the base for the new asphalt. Ron and his crew worked hard to lay the new asphalt. They all were very communicative and did great work, including cleaning up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Northern Asphalt again. We had Northern Asphalt pave our long driveway and they did a very good job with a tough driveway. The crew was professional and polite throughout, even though the temperature was over 90 degrees on the days the work was done. When the job was finished, I discovered a flaw in the drainage, and the firm sent a crew out on Sunday to correct the problem at no charge. I would easily use these guys again and thank them for a job well done. Service: Asphalt paving & repair

One of their trucks ran me off the road in a construction zone going over 70 mph. They had no cover on the load and destroyed my windshield and my front end. I have made three attempts to request a phone call back the general manager says the owner will call me they never do. I have asked them to handle the damage to my windshield and I have informed them that we can get legal counsel if needed. If Google would allow it I would post the dashcam video. But a picture is all that is allowed. It took over a mile to catch up to the driver to get the vehicle information.

I requested 3 quotes. 1) Repair around the damaged rooted area (cost below 9K) 2) Whole driveway (cost around 12.5K) 3) And whole driveway including optional parking spot currently filled with loose gravel. (This was placed into the second quote listed to add $4800). This was an old quote 2021, so they updated the date and change the cost a little to reflect 2022. I chose to opt-in for the whole driveway. Onsite crew immediately started the job without letting us know they are here. I woke and immediately checked out the work and they already removed the old pavement from entry way up to the roots or just past it. One of the crew walked up to me and mentioned that this is where they have to stop line because this is what is mentioned on the quote, and I was told to contact Lia. The work was halted, I contacted Lia and try to figure things out. I informed her that the quote was for the whole driveway and the optional parking spot is not the driveway. She needed to follow up with the company owner find a solution. I was given an option to proceed with the work that was already started or continue to the driveway, and I would have to pay the $4800 that was intended for the optional parking spot. The best option what me and Lia compromised on was to continue the work being done, and she will need to follow up with the Owner about this. I do not believe the Winter coupon $1000 coupon which was not even part of this issue to begin with and Owner deducting $200 more is a proper compromised amount. I would like to point out the fault would be on the Estimator who provided me the quote that took the measurements as well as the onsite crew proceeding with the project without letting us they are here and catching the discrepancy after the work started. Lia is the only person, easy to communicate, and catching the discrepancies regarding the amount and updated tax from 9%. To 9.2% and despite me not knowing that I was in the Winter Coupon season for $1000 deductible, which was before onsite crew found discrepancies. That would be the only reason I would add a rating. My continued contact with you guys to let you know about the arborist passing the information to not damage the roots and just pile on them because it would kill the two huge trees and would become a liability on my neighbors and us. I was up to date on what changes I needed to do regarding the project. It was explained to me that 9K work vs 12K work difference is minimal which made it costly was due to the heavy machinery mode of transport. Hence why I opted in for the 12K work. I feel like the sudden adjustment of the work being done was not necessarily on my fault since the estimator did the measurement, but majority was the fault on your company. Estimator providing incorrect quote and Onsite crew not notifying us that they are starting. If the discrepancy was found immediately before the onsite crew started doing things, I would have contacted Lia to just change the quote to the 9K work around the rooted area instead. It seems like a bullish conduct from your company. I also have to think about the deposit and decision of cancellation fee of $250 plus % of the quote. I give one star because Lias kindly and professional communication and .5 stars for onsite crew due to failure to communicate which would have avoided extra $$$. Completed work was done professionally but actions on letting us know that they are here to start working and when they are done wasnt done. Lia provided helpful document on proper initial care and one year warranty information. I chose your company due to the many star reviews you guys have, but after this...I am not sure if I will be a reoccurring customer. Reply - I tried to update, but it was too long. Estimator did not convey what I requested. He did the measurement, all I asked and explained was for the 3 quotes. Please understand that is the initial discrepancy. Anyways, I'll patiently wait for your call, I understand you have bigger tunas to deal with. Service: Asphalt paving & repair
