I happened on the Barrett shop while seeking a new Luthier to work with after the shop I had done business with for over four decades changed ownership. As I am once again using some of my guitars professionally, I was looking for some modification and set-up work. I called and could tell right away Barrett knows his biz and he was welcoming and candid. So far now, he has worked on a couple of both acoustic and electric guitars to my total satisfaction. I plan to take a couple more in to be upgraded.

Barrett has worked on a couple instruments of mine and I cannot say enough nice things about him or his work! Ive brought in older guitars with all kinds of issues and hes done a beautiful job of dialing things in and giving them new lives. He communicates clear expectations in terms of timing and cost and does amazing work that is above and beyond what is required. Hes honest, hes fast, and youd be challenged to find anyone better. Great communication and very high quality work. I was afraid the damage to my Martin was fatal but he was able to repair it and improve the set up. It now plays better than before and I couldn't be happier.
