image THEY HAVE BED BUGS.... we checked in and the elevators did not work, so we left to get dinner came back and got our room. 5 mins into unpacking and there is a bed bug. So, we put everything back into the bags and my husband found out the toilet won't flush. The building is old, and they only refurbished the outside. Carpet in halls a nasty and overall, it needs to be updated INSIDE! Front desk cared less about us freaking out as if he has heard this all before. We still have not received a refund, but this place need code compliance attention.

image Visited during the 2024 solar eclipse. This was definitely the most dated La Quinta I have ever been to. I'd say pretty much all La Quintas I have visited were very clean and the service have been great. This one bucked the trend.
1. Building is very dated.
2. Rooms were clean but the restroom in our room was in need of some repair. The tub made noise every time we stepped in. The shower head showed showed high amount of calcium deposits.
3. Did not provide room service (cleaning). Their reasoning was that they don't provide service on weekends. Isn't weekends the busiest time? I found this highly unusual.
When in Dallas area next time, I'll be looking at other La Quinta Inn and not this one.

image Where to start...
Upon arrival, I thought, this place looks nice, but after getting out of the car, I realized the freeway is very noisy, so much, I was unable to hear the people I was with talk. I thought to myself, a hotel next to a noisy highway would have sound proof walls. I was wrong there again, it was very hard to sleep, I finally got some earplugs to get some sleep(this was a first for me) walked down the hall and found they host one of those wakko travel churches, I won't get into my past, but I thought I was staying at a hotel, not a church. Proceeded to my room and noticed the carpet is very stained. Used the stairs to go back down to my car, and it had a strong urine smell. Doors were very hard to open in multiple locations, it appears the building has some structural issues, the closers are not set right, because they slam very hard. The key system was horrible, I had to go to the front desk around 3-4 times to get my key to work.
Outside, they have these extremely bright lights, they shine right on the building, instead of the parking lot like they should be, the problem with this is, no matter how much you pull the curtains, bright light comes in your room.
Used the washing machine to clean some clothes, it was very dirty( hard to think my clothes are going to get clean in a dirty machine)
The pool...
The pool is ice cold, I saw almost everyone that tried to use it jump right back out, or only go ankle deep on the steps. Children were using the safety devices to play with, this is illegal! (how do I know this? I'm a certified pool operator.) Another issue is the acoustics, the echo is so bad that when there are small children yelling in the pool, you get an instant headache. Went to use the spa, but didn't feel safe, because the water was green( the pool was blue) a couple days later it was blue, but was unusable, as small children were doing cannon balls into the spa. The worst part was watching a child that was maybe 16 months old use the hot tub with no swim diaper, but that's not the worst, I saw another very young child in the spa, again no swim diaper, the mother had her come out of the spa, to check and see if she had pooped in her suit. I also learned there is no designated adult swim time( I don't know about anyone else, but as an adult, I didn't pay to have my ear drums blown out and be splashed in the face with water, I just want to relax after a hard day of working. After coming out of the spa, I found a water fountain in the hallway, you could hear the compressor running, but the water is warm at best( is it a lot to ask for some cold water)
This hotel claims to be smoke free, but almost every time I walked down the hall, I got a strong smell of marijuana ( feel like I was lied to).
Walking into the lobby, the main TV is playing CNN( better known as communism news network) maybe the people that work here should do some research and they would find that Texas is a conservative state. Communism has no place in America and certainly in Texas!!!
Breakfast...
The waffles aren't too bad, but the eggs taste like they come out of the microwave. They have a container for water, but again, room temperature.
Who serves green apples? Yuck, they are best for cooking, not eating raw. ( This was another first for me)
The staff was very friendly for the most part, there was a younger girl at the front desk that was a bit abrasive. It's clear the place used to look nice, but needs a lot of maintenance.
The weekends were very chaotic, walking back to my rooms gave me a second hand high and made me feel like i was at a night club.
This place could be nice with a lot of sound proofing, and a sound wall next to the freeway, many repairs, remove carpet from rooms, how gross is carpet in a hotel, think about the bacteria that exists on bare feet that rubs on the carpet and some accountability for guest.
