Tischendorf Remodeling

Waited months for them to come out for a bid. Price was ridiculously high. We had 3 companies bid for the job. Company 1 Bid- about $65,000 Company 2 Bid- about $68,000 Tischendorf Remodeling Bid- over $120,000 We're going with company #2 as they have the same ratings on Google as Tischendorf. Honestly trust company #2 just as much and they are much easier to get ahold of, much more responsive Update: they have pricing guides on their website. They are way higher at the time of this review than they were when I called for an estimate in September. Increased from $75,000 to $120,000 for the exact same job a few months ago!

We hired Tischendorf Remodeling to tear out our old swimming pool and replace it with a large deck a few years ago. The crew was professional and did excellent work. Todd and his staff helped us throughout the process from demolition to design. They truly care about their quality of work and want their customers to be happy with the results. Recently we had an issue with the deck settling and sinking in a few spots, and they returned to make sure the problem was corrected to our satisfaction. I would trust them implicitly with any future remodeling projects and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy contractor.

I personally can't speak to the quality of work but Tischendorf's prices are considerably higher than similar designers/remodelers in the area.  When I called for an estimate on a bathroom remodel the employee asked more questions about my budget than the work I wanted done and the materials I wanted to use.  After I tried to steer the conversation back to the work I wanted done, the frustrated employee said that their bathroom remodel prices start at $25,000 and that it would be a waste of their time to do an estimate if I wasn't willing to pay that price.  To be honest, none of the pictures of bathroom remodels on their website look like they justify a minimum $25K price tag so I decided to go with a more reasonably priced remodeler.  Unfortunately, Tischendorf was more interested in seeing how deep my pockets were rather than my goals for the project.  This just shows the importance of getting multiple quotes before deciding on a contractor.

My wife Linda and I cannot begin to express our appreciation for the high-quality workmanship and professionalism that went into creating a whole new kitchen remodel and the ease with which it unfolded. First, Todd Tischendorf, owner of Tischendorf Remodeling, came to our home and carefully listened to the problems we were having with our old kitchen and helped us to envision what could be done to make our kitchen remodel special, new, and exciting. His company uses designer computer software that helped us see the layout and final look before a single nail was driven and gave us updates, complete with photos, of the work that was done each day. Todd personally oversaw every step of the process, and when the job was finished we were completely satisfied with the design, workmanship, and respect shown to us by his craftsman. Both the quote and project timeline was strictly adhered to, making this the easiest and most pleasurable part of our house-wide renovation.
