It sure has been a long time since I last dined here. I couldn't remember what they served and how the food tasted. It was one of those days where I was flowing with whatever and went with my instincts. My friend was feeling spontaneous with me so we went for it. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious . No disappointment here or even a single complaint. We were greeted and seated immediately. The menu was extensive, and there were a lot of options. We love Korean food. I'm still learning about the names and the ingredients associated with each dish. So it took us a few minutes to look up each dish to see if it was what we think it was. I live for the grilling part of Korean food, but my friend wasn't really hungry. They required at least 2 orders of raw meat. I didn't want to pay for two orders because it was a little too expensive. So I decided on bimbap with grilled meat in a hotstone bowl and japchae to share. Side orders were out of this world for me. It tasted so good that we asked for seconds. No regrets. We will be returning in the near future. By observation, I felt like this restaurant was authentic and closer to how Korean food is prepared in Korea. It was an experience and friendly service. Happy eating

So. I dont usually write reviews, let alone bad reviews, because quite frankly Ive never really felt compelled to write a review for a food place. I went to Takamatsu with my boyfriend just last night and it seemed nice, small family owned place, smiling faces and seems popular. When our server brought us our miso soup, she asked me if I needed a fork for my food so I kindly said Oh no thank you! Im good. Granted Ive literally never been asked that at an asian food spot, ever. But didnt think too much of it at first. When we received our food, the man who I assumed to be the owner comes over and says to me Are you sure youre ok with chopsticks? Then proceeded to look at my boyfriend (Chinese) and says Oh I wont ask you because. ya know. Ok uhhh thats hella rude? I already had expressed that I dont need a fork, and they were speaking to me as if I was a 2 year old. It really rubbed me the wrong way. I even asked a Korean friend of mine if it was wrong of me to get upset about but she told me that yes, that was pretty rude of them. And to top it off, when we were paying, the owner says to my boyfriend Are you Chinese or Korean? Just out of pocket. Hes Chinese but what if he wasnt? What compelled him to ask that? This place just left a bad taste in my mouth and unfortunately I probably wont go there again. Ive just never been treated that way at any food place ive gone to, let alone a small asian spot. Just not a good look.

I ate there with a friend. I got the Beef Yakisoba and my friend got the Chicken Katsu. The waiter came and gave us miso soup which was really good and my friend rice. I asked if I could get rice too and the lady told me I was having Yakisoba. I know it's uncommon but why was it a big deal to judge me having rice as well? Which I was glad I did because the Yakisoba was microwaved and the sauce for it tasted gross. I ended up picking out the beef parts and just eating that with the rice. Not going there again.
