The Mütter Museum at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia

Such a fantastic and unique small museum and a must see when visiting Philly! I work in health care, so I love learning cool stuff about anatomy and medicine, so this was such a great experience! While not large in scale, there's a lot packed into this museum. The variety of specimens is impressive and there's so much to learn and see. Seeing a slice of Einstein's brain was a real nerd-out moment for me! It is recommended to buy tickets in advance if visiting on the weekend, which we easily did online while on route to the museum. There was no wait to get in and our group of 4 arrived about 1 hour before closing on a Sunday. There was plenty of time to see everything and it didn't feel rushed. You can't take photos within the museum gallery. There is another small special exhibition featured, which was quite powerful. There is a gift shop on site as well, with cool anatomy themed items for sale. Highly recommend a visit to Mtter!

Incredibly unique, small museum that has countless specimens that give great insights to medical history and science. As a designer who sells some stickers in their gift shop, I can also say that the staff is lovely to work with! I appreciate that they are advocates for science, medicine, and living donors, too.

Very informative, it was my first time being in medical museum. They have 200 collections of skulls, and giant, and so on. Nice place to check out, and learn something new.
