My husband drop off a cylinder head to the guy and we haven't seen or heard from him since. We keep calling and calling and the answering machine is always full and no one answers no matter how many times you call. Hope the guys still has it when we make can finally make contact. Never ever giving them business again

Very poor customer service.. I brought a bare 6.2l block to him on march 3 2023 and its dec 15 2023 and he has only given excuses as to why my service has not been performed.The parts I brought for him to install are still sitting on the floor by the front counter where I placed them. He was only to respect the block and install pistons and rods. I checked with him multiple times only to receive the same answer for months straight.I paid my money and I should be treated just as any other customer and I do not feel as if that is the case in this matter.he has not once called me personally to give me an current update. My lawyer will be contacted if no contact persists to happen or no services have been rendered.

I brought a 302 in very poor condition, Coastal ended up sleeving 2 cylinders, bored .030over, new pistons, I took him new AFR heads, Isky cam and Lifters with 1.6 Roller Rockers and he built an absolute awesome engine, from the glyptal coating in the lifter valley to the engine block paint job, new fasteners and he did an outstanding job. I would strongly encourage anyone needing a rebuild to please see Coastal Engine and Machine. Services: Engine repair, Motor building

I bought a remained 454 from a older gentleman and we installed it in my truck and it just wouldn't fire. Finally figured out the poor old guy didn't realize he had a reverse rotation, marine engine and that's what I ended up buying from him. Lol.
Upon finding this out, I started calling a few local machine shops to get some information on what I need to do to make it a normal rotation. Except for Coastal, no other machine shop would give me the time of day on the phone! I called Coastal and the gentleman was super nice and super straight forward. He told me a few key things to look for in a phone conversation that lasted approximately five minutes. I guarantee to take all of my business to Coastal Engine instead of two other machine shops in the area that I've been dealing with for quite some time and would not give me 5 minutes of their time after I have spent thousands with them both over the years.
Sometimes a short phone call to a friendly experienced individual goes a long way with new customers. Thank you very much Coastal Machine- guys are amazing!!!!
