I regret that I didn't see the reviews on this company before we decided to rent the apartment. We lived in 350 South Oakland Ave., Pasadena, CA for 7.5 months.
I totally agreed with all the bad reviews on this company. ("This company is Faking extortion", "They charge nearly half of deposit, even it is clean", "this building has plumbing problem and they charge you an arm and a leg every time a plumber comes to fix it"
I should let everyone know how bad this company like a robber. Please, DO NOT PLAN TO LIVE IN THIS APARTMENT !.
While we lived there, there were actually 3 times plumbing problems in the sink in the kitchen. I thought that the food grinder was not good and it was time to replace it. But, they charged us whenever they called a plumber to fix it. One of sink in the shower booth in a bathroom was initially in trouble (no draining) from the time we just moved in.
When we moved out, every wall, floor, even bathroom and toilets were clean since we cleaned everything. However, the company charged us a half of our rental cost for new painting and cleaning. We did not wear shoes in the apartment, even the wood floor was clean. When the manager came to inspect before we moved out two weeks ago, he said nothing about cleaning and just said everything is clean. We have the pictures that we took when we moved out from the apartment after cleaning.
Even though we protested, they did not give the money back. So disrespectful. The company behaves like a thief and robber. Nothing more than the words exists for describing the company.

I have been living in my unit for less than 6 months and just received a notification about a rent increase, effective next month. Um - really? According to the notification it's due to the rising operating costs of utilities, insurance, etc. But if they were really monitoring the rising costs then I wouldn't just receive a 30 day notice.
