Too bad the other bike shop in PR closed, as I will never use Bob's store, or recommend it. Visited him a few yrs ago, and found him to be unhelpful, quite gruff and rude. He does not need to "pander" to people, but common decency is expected. He is in a business to serve the public; I am surprised he is still in business.

My visit to Bob's was great. I needed him to straighten a bent rim for me. Bob was very nice and said he would fix it right away while I waited, This was a pleasant surprise, thought I might have to wait a couple of days. He trued up the wheel and also answered a few questions for me, alot more knowledgeable than the guys at the big box stores. He was done in less than 15 minutes and charged me twenty dollars. Bob also adjusted the cones on the axle for no additional charge. Considering the condition of the rim, twenty dollars was well worth it. I will return and recommend Bob's to other serious bike enthusiasts.

I have had Bob service several our our fleet of bikes in my household over the last 5-7 years. It's a one man shop so you can't expect him to drop everything and work on your needs immediately when you walk through the door. It's tough for him to compete with the bog box stores on cost so I don't price shop at his store and I don't see why anyone should do that when you shop at a local mom and pop store. I hope more stores like Bob's will survive the economy and those critical shoppers who don't appreciate the local convenience and service.
