    I was on the adult unit here for my mental health for 5 days and all of the staff was amazing. Every single person was so nice, compassionate and really cared and checked in all the time. I felt safe and supported here. I fully recommend this hospital.

    Fabulous experience!!! I 10/10 recommend. Everyone treated me fabulous and went above and beyond to take care of me. I hadnt been to Bourbon Hospital before, but I cant sing the praises of the ladies that helped me enough.

    I must say that my interactions with the emergency room doctor has been wonderful. Day staff has been ok as well up to today. After 6 hours of trying to get the medicine prescriptions sent to Wal-Mart for my husband who has been diagnosed with both covid and a 1/2 inch kidney stone I called the hospital again. The nurse from the ed who did not identify herself on the call informed me he should have been given paper scripts. When we explained that had not transpired due to a printer problem during day shift. She was confrontational and rude and told me i should not be upset. I (who have barely any voice due to congestion from covid myself) stated and I quote " ma'am we both have covid and he has kidney stones we just need his prescriptions" and she hung up on me. Bless the nurse who called me back while I was driving over to get these scripts that are supposed to get him thru to his specialist appointment tomorrow morning. To the nurse who was rude and unprofessional.. I understand your day just started and you are dealing with something not of your making.. but your behavior was unprofessional at best. I would say you should consider a new profession if this is your attitude at the beginning of a shift. UPDATE.. Thanks for sending the script after the pharmacy closed. I confirmed with the store manager they could not be moved since the pharmacist was gone for the night. Also, thanks for being unwilling to call anything in to a pharmacy that was still open. Watching my husband writhe in pain from a 1/2 inch kidney stone on top his kidney while he, I, and our 2 year old are already trying to just survive covid was just great. May you and your families receive the same kindness you have shown mine.

    Inpatient Care for behavioral health was amazing! From the intake to the walk out the door and everything in between, I was absolutely amazed by all the care and love I felt from every member of staff. I've done previous inpatient at other facilities, and though they also were tremendously helpful, the staff here were beyond my wildest dreams. Social workers, therapists, nurses, techs, dietary, and especially housekeeping...all went above and beyond. The various Doctors I encountered were each different, as doctors tend to be, however they each aided greatly in my recovery. The facilities and equipment are dated and it seemed like staff were making do with what they have instead of better things (beige paint cracked and peeling in offices?). But what they do have to use is clean and well maintained.
