River Valley Behavioral Health

I went through all kinds of trouble getting a medical evaluation through the court system today for my son and they picked him up and took him to river valley and a lady called me asking me all kinds of questions about my son’s mental health and all I did was waste my breath because I told her that he keeps threatening suicide and his family having mental health issues and within an hour they had told him that nothing is wrong with him and told him to leave and then he wondered around owensboro walking until we finally found him at 9:30 tonight , this place is the worst place I’ve ever seen in my life , those people are pathetic and careless about anyone , they should all be brought up on charges

I would not recommend! They’re Not friendly rude and seem careless! I went to see my Son on Visitation sadly John was frail pale and his nerves where to the roof crying never seen him that way plus they where trying medicines without taking to me about it’s horrible pls If you love you’re child do not send them to this place. Would not recommend! Plus his socks had holes they where warnout His sweatpants had stains all over them and stank his shirt was Dusty n all baggie :( I don’t understand it

I constantly got cancelled or had times that he didn't even remember who I was or why I was doing this. For 8 months I never really got any help. I had to keep reminding him who I was and why I was talking to him and why I needed help. It seemed like he was always typing something into a computer and didn't get my story straight and sometimes they even messed up me for someone else. I was more than once called by the wrong name when we did the visits over the phone. All of my information I had to give it every single time that I talked to them. After 8 months I would think that I wasn't just a number but a person and someone would know who I was and what I had been through, but I was just a name and nobody could even remember who I was. So now I have a bill for 8 months of nothing that ever helped me.

I was able to get the help that I needed and met some great people along the way

First of all. None of the staff here cares about how you feel. You do not get the treatment you need. Some of the therapists try making you feel down. I wish there was a zero stars.
