A neighbor recommended Norlen's to install a softener and filtration system for my well water. Super high in iron. I couldn't be more pleased with the front office personnel, the engineer or the technician who did the work. Very dissatisfied with the performance and servicing of a water treatment system installed in late December 2019. The system designed and installed by Norlen's did not, in our opinion, consistently provide treated water acceptable for cooking, drinking, bathing and washing laundry (discolored water, iron/rust smell on skin after showering, residue left in drinking pitchers, discolored laundry, etching in sinks and countertops, etc.). We noted problems within one month of regular use (this is a newly built second home so water usage was not regular immediately after installation of the water treatment system). After three service visits and multiple phone calls and emails, we lost confidence in the system and the ability of Norlen's to correctly identify the problem(s) and suggest effective solutions. Since the company failed to adequately address our concerns and correct our reported issues with the system, we removed the water treatment system and had another water treatment company install a different system which uses less salt and water and is easier to manage as a homeowner. The new system works flawlessly and addresses every concern. Norlen's refused to issue a refund (in whole or in part) and instead asserted that their system was functioning correctly despite multiple pictures of discolored water and residue left in drinking pitchers. Our concerns were dismissed because, according to their testing with samples pulled at their time of service visits, the system was functioning correctly, according to EPA limits.
