This wasn't the 1st, or 2nd time I have been to the Stephen center Hero Program. It was the 3rd time. But sometimes that is what it takes. This time around it saved my life. It taught me a new way to live. Not only did I have an amazing counselor that helped me work through trauma that I had suppressed for years on end, and see my self worth. I met a core group of friends who turned into family. They taught me love, they showed me how to be vulnerable, and to knock down the walls that I had built to not let anyone in. They showed me appreciation. People looked up to me while I was there because I was trusted. That was a great feeling. I now have almost 2 years clean by the grace of god I will have that in January 2024. I know that there are no fronts in sobriety and it is all one day at a time. But I am forever grateful of everything I have learned over these last 22 1/2 months. I chair a meeting every Sunday night at the Stephen Center to current residents, because that's what the program is about. Giving back what was given to me. It has helped me in so many ways. I lost my mom in August of 2023, and the residents at the Hero Program have helped me heal more then they will ever begin to know. I am forever grateful for them. If you are looking for a place to heal. This is the one. I can promise you one thing, if you are willing to put in the work, and you are serious about the change. It is so much better on the other side.

This Center is the best in Omaha probably the best in the country from the staff to the guest or clients that reside there I'm from California and I have never experienced such kindness, humbleness people with good hearts that are willing to help you overcome what challenges you may have. Just an awesome place. Thank you Stephen Center
