Will not even consider listening or hearing a person out who is marked as not allowed to live there again even though I did not cause the issue and the person who did is willing to speak on my behalf. It has been since 2018 that I have rented with this company and its 2024 and they will still not even give me an opportunity. You get less than what you pay for to begin with the man who runs their office is and has always been utterly disrespectful and rude and ultimately just completely uninterested in qnything that takes his attention away from his own world. And I'm clearly not the inly one with a low opinion as yout rating is a 2.7 stars lmao

Low rent but huge admin fees. These landlords will ruin the rental market.

I had rented an apartment from RDBarr Co. The unit I rented was below ground level. While residing there, my apartment flooded each time it rained. On one occurance, my girlfriend was shocked/electrocuted from having to walk through the 2" of water on the floor. I notified managment on several occasions and nothing was done. Finally after a brief call to the BBB of Omaha, RDBarr moved us into another rental property at a different location. RDBarr was to keep the rent the same since it was not fault of ours regarding the flooding. It did not. With the complaint we made to the BBB and the BBB contacting RDBarr in the manner they did, feelings were hurt. The next month rent was due, the money order I placed in the on-site managers door had mysteriously come up missing. I was told that "I just didnt pay it." Good thing money orders can be traced! After prooving we did in fact pay it, they had no choice but to let us stay. Shortly there after, we received a warning for being disruptive and argueing. It was stated if we recieved one more complaint it would be served to us as a second warning and we would be evicted. Supposidly, a resident next to us complained. How strange because we were an end apartment and on the on the other side there was not an aprtment but a large area between us and the next nearest apartment.Just to be safe, I went to that aparment and apologized for being disruptive, even though I knew we had not been. The resident of that apartment was completely baffled as to what I was apologizing for I told my girlfriend that regardless of anything at all, we would be receiving that second notice guaranteed. It would be a low ball move to remove us from their rental unit due to fact we called the BBB and had them investigated. Very soon, like I had thought, a second letter arrived. It stated that Laura Barr herself was in the building and she herself heard the argueing by us. It stated the date and the time. Strange....we were out of town on that exact date and exact time, unbeknownst to her though. When time came for eviction, I showed her documentation that prooved we were not even in Nebraska. Someone looked pretty stupid at that point in time. We left though, not wanting to reside under devious and deceitful managment. After moving out, as a final get back for the BBB reporting, a bill was sent to us for a couple thousand for "damages". Damage that never existed. Hey Jason...Laura,....still got your hands outstreached waiting for that money dont ya? Your hands empty huh? Gonna stay that way too! Oh, this managment will respond to this stating I am lying and I am out of line or whatever. I write this on 02/17/2019. Refer to the BBB website and research RDBarr and you will see, several years ago a complaint was put in. It was investigated by the BBB and their finding was published. All can read it. Ssve your words Laura and Jason. You look pretty stupid as it is. Dont make it worse by bumpin your gums. What u can do though is rise above slumlord status. RD himself would be disappointed af with what you have done to his bussiness.

Wayne, I don't see a record of you even applying with us. It may be possible that you applied for an apartment that we just rented and that the application just hasn't made it to our office yet and is still with the Resident Manager. If that is the case your application fee will be given back to you. We only keep them when we have actually ran an application.
