Homestead of Olathe Memory & Dementia Care

Mom was originally at Homestead Assisted Living and then moved to Homestead Memory Care when her condition progressed. My review is the same for both facilitiesoutstanding. The staff was very caring and engaged. They are professional, empathetic and helpful. They all developed a very respectful relationship with Mom and made her feel welcomed, wanted and loved in the community. I spent the last three weeks at Moms bedside as her condition deteriorated. The staff would stop by several times a day, even those who had other duties, just to check in on Mom and her condition. The entire staff was so supportive. They told me great stories about Moms personal interactions with them and the other residents during her stay here. She was loved. I appreciate Homestead and the culture they foster for their employees and the residents. Thank you for making Moms last years and months engaging and caring.

I toured this facility while looking for a memory care place in Olathe. They are remodeling so things looked a little messy but will be so nice when it is done. I felt that the heart of the Director is in the right place and she seems to be making positive changes. They do accept medicaid which is helpful and the price is reasonable. Overall, I was impressed.
