        LaJoel Lovett, owner of Brymar, completed a "date of death" appraisal for my family home. The appraisal was somewhat difficult due to the need to determine the effect of a death in the property on its value. LaJoel took his time and even the CPA who reviewed the report commented on how well written the report was. LaJoel has been appraising properties for many years and has worked with a number of other Agents I know as well. I highly recommend Brymar/LaJoel for residential appraisals in the Bay Area.

        Worst appraisal I have ever seen!!!  Lajoel picked comps from completely different areas in Oakland and even used an REO property to compare with the fourplex I was buying.  He used every excuse to have the appraisal come in low by comparing similar properties in worse locations, but wouldn't use similar properties in better locations.  Completely irresponsible and lazy.Never use this company if you want a fair appraisal.
