Don't work for this company. Corporate higher ups will waste your time for the whole year with good reviews and completely screw you over for the annual performance review, which directly affects your raise. In this economy, being kind is free but not for Advocate.
They are also being sued as a company for raising prices of medical services. What a joke of a nonprofit.

I went to Advocate Health in Aurora when it was still Dreyer medical clinic, and it was a really top notch place for healthcare. In the last few years that has been eroded with Advocate taking over. All of the good doctors are leaving or have left. That tells you something about how they manage their business and put a patient firstNOT
The last straw for me was my OBGYN doctor leaving, I was given short short notice and it was a form letter that listed about six other doctors that were leaving. Horrible notification. Again, they illustrate all to well their lack of interest in their patients. I was also told they have no other options for me to see an OBGYN in the Aurora area that has real experience and that I would want to see. (I am a healthcare high risk for cervical cancer). They also canceled the appointment with the doctor that was leaving and didnt even let me know. Their attitude was very cavalier and if I wanted to go to Lombard or Downers Grove. I could see a doctor. I couldnt go to see their doctor in St. Charles because theyre not in network. This was the last straw for me. I dont recommend this group at all anymore.. The sad part is now I have to start searching to see if theres someone that does care about their patients and will to take a new patient. Then to get an appointment is going to be another challenge. Oh by the way, no where to share this complaint with Oak Brook or main office in South Carolina!

In multiple instances throughout 8 years advocate has sent bills through collections despite being paid. Whoever does billing is incompetent. In one instance they billed my account for services for my son instead of his account. So his account got credited and my got charged. Depending on how they do their accounting they could be overstating their income. I have quit going to advocate due to this reason. These are very unethical practices and just plain sloppy procedures set in place.
